ABOUT ME
Raechel Rupert Pediatric Sleep Specialist &
Baby Sleep Expert
Hi! I'm Raechel. Mom of 3, including twins! While I was pregnant I received lots of advice about how I should get my newborns on a 'schedule' as soon as they were born so that we could all get sleep. Well, that didn't quite go as planned because one of the twins stayed in the NICU and one came home! We had a very difficult journey of attempting to get on a schedule, not sleeping, and I struggled to receive any help. Looking back on that time now, I wish that I had more newborn sleep education because it would have saved me from a lot of worrisome nights!

Flash forward a few years to the birth of my daughter! She was an amazing sleeper as a baby, mostly because I was more experienced and had read about a dozen sleep books by then. As a toddler, she was a major boundary pusher when it came to sleep! So, again, I hit the books for help and support.

I know what it's like to be in the trenches of sleep deprivation and wanting to know exactly what you need to do to get out of it!

Sleep is so extremely critical to your little one's development, health and well-being! I'm so passionate about children getting quality, restorative sleep. And I'm equally as passionate about parents getting that sleep to! So that they can be their best selves for their little one's.

If you work with me, I will be your 'village'. I will be your mom friend and confidant to encourage you so that you can accomplish all of your sleep goals for your family!
MY APPROACH
The Science Behind Sleep
I decided to receive my formal sleep consultant training from the Pediatric Sleep Academy. This program outshined all the other options because it is truly based on the science behind sleep.

The TIMING of when your child's sleep is occurring is just as important as your CONSISTENCY with your chosen sleep training method.

It is common for parents to think (and to sometimes even be told by their pediatrician) that they just need to let their little one 'cry it out' to learn how to self soothe. And while crying can sometimes be a part of the sleep training process, there is also A LOT that you can do to set your little one up for success to make it as easy as possible for them learn independent sleep.

It can oftentimes be an emotional decision to decide to sleep train. It was certainly an emotional decision for me too and took some time for me to accept that it was best for our family!
This is why I focus on education and leveraging the science behind sleep to ensure progress with my clients. It is a comfort knowing that the sleep program you are implementing has been successful for so many other families!
